I grew up in a household filled with the aroma of sofrito and the sounds of lively conversations. Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, I am incredibly proud of my Latin heritage. It’s where my love for vibrant flavors and comforting dishes began, from a Moro de Habichuelas, Beef Soup “Sopa de Carne de Res,” to a delightful Majarete. These foods are at the heart of our culture.

Since launching A Simple Tweak in 2018, I have shared over 100 recipes to make cooking enjoyable and accessible. It has been an incredible journey, and I’m so grateful to you—my readers—for joining me along the way. Over time, I’ve realized my true passion lies in celebrating these bold, vibrant flavors. 

Food has always been my way of staying connected to my roots and sharing my culture with others. That’s why I’ve decided to shift my focus to Latin-inspired comfort foods and creative fusion recipes. This transition is about creating a space to celebrate Latin culture together. Although I’m focusing on Latin flavors, one thing hasn’t changed—my commitment to sharing easy, flavorful recipes that you can make right at home. 

Whether it’s a traditional dish or a fresh twist on a comfort food favorite, you’ll find the same simple, approachable style. I’m excited about this next chapter.
